Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco 2022 is a true icon of Italian winemaking. This historic group brings together over fifty families to tend the finest Nebbiolo vineyards in Piedmont. The 2022 growing season was very warm and dry. These extreme conditions led to smaller grapes with thick skins. This resulted in a wine with deep color and rich, spicy flavors.
The winemakers fermented the grapes in stainless steel tanks for twenty four days. This long time on the skins helps extract the bold tannins and aromas that make this wine famous. It then rested in large oak casks to develop a smooth texture. While some modern producers use small new barrels, Produttori stays true to traditional methods. This focus on heritage allows the pure fruit and the unique character of the soil to lead the way.
In your glass, you will find a red wine with great depth and weight. The nose is full of dark cherry and plum mixed with pretty floral notes.
